Committee for Questions of Equality
The Committee for Questions of Equality supports the equal treatment of women at the university. It has existed since the summer semester of 1986. According to the Higher Education Act, its tasks include:
- Putting together a recommendation for the Equality Commissioner to be appointed by the Senate
- Supporting Equality Commissioners in the fulfilment of their tasks.
An Equality Commissioner presides over the committee, which is composed of three representatives of each university group: students, employees from the areas of medicine, technology, and administration, academic personnel, and professors. The president and the staff council act in an advisory capacity.

Landeskonferenz der Hochschulfrauen in Rhineland-Palatinate (LaKoF)
The Landeskonferenz (LaKoF) is a consortium of all the women’s affairs and equality commissioners, as well as the women’s affairs representatives in women’s offices at higher education institutions in Rhineland-Palatinate.
In addition to cultivating networks and exchanges, LaKoF gives advice on scientific policies and management. It makes recommendations on the promotion of women in science and is included in the legislative process.
Bundeskonferenz (BuKoF)
The Bundeskonferenz (BuKoF) is a consortium of all the women’s affairs and equality commissioners, as well as the employees in women’s offices at higher education institutions in Germany.
In addition to cultivating networks and exchanges, BuKoF gives advice on scientific policies and management on the national level.
